Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray met his uncle and Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray at Matoshree in Mumbai on Monday. Bal Thackeray has been ailing for some time and sources say that Raj enquired about his health. Earlier, in July Raj had also meet his estranged cousin and Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, who was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. Raj even drove Uddhav back to his residence after he was discharged from the hospital. The recent meetings assume significance with the 2014 Lok Sabha elections approaching and the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party alliance in the state having a tough time.
