UP CPMT exam cancelled after paper leak in Ghaziabad

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical exam was cancelled by the state government after reports emerged of the leak of the paper at several centres on Sunday. The test was being conducted by King George Medical College and 1, 09,291 students were appearing at 231 examination centre in 15 cities across the state. The Ghaziabad District Magistrate sent a report in this regard to the state government after he found the boxes, in which the papers were kept, were tampered with. The boxes containing the papers were kept in Allahabad Bank and the State Bank of India. Several aspirants were left disheartened after the news the cancellation of the exam came out. The three hour examination was scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon. The state government is likely to announce another date for the test soon. UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has ordered a high-level committee to probe into the matter and asked the state chief secretary to constitute the body.
