The CBI has found its first piece of direct evidence against a UPA minister in the coal scam. The FIR filed by the CBI in the scam accuses Santosh Bagrodia, who was Minister of State for Coal between 2008 and 2009 of knowing and ignoring the fact that AMR Iron & Steel which is owned by the Jayaswal Group made false declarations to the government when it applied for coal blocks.
