BJP secretary Kirit Somaiya on Tuesday demanded resignation of Maharashtra Education Minister Rajendra Darda, saying it was necessary to ensure a fair CBI probe in coal blocks allocation scam, after the agency registered FIR against a company linked to his family. The companies named in the FIR registered by the CBI earlier today are Vini Iron and Steel, Nav Bharat Steel, JLD Yavatmal, which is said to be linked to the family of Congress MP Vijay Darda, elder brother of Rajendra Darda, JAS infrastructure of Abhijeet Group and AMR Iron and Steel and their directors and unknown government officials.
