There's a distinct spillover effect to the ongoing refugee crisis in Assam. Hundreds have moved to villages in West Bengal along the Assam border. Temporary shelters put up for them here have taken the form of relief camps with refugees refusing to budge. As their numbers too grow by the day. Stories of refugees moving into Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar and even Orissa are rife. With West Bengal's Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri districts along the border feeling the heat most.
