Wrestler Amit Kumar has crashed out of Olympics. Amit Kumar lost to Radoslav Velikov of Bulgaria in the 1st Repechage round in the 55 KG category. Amit had to win this bout in order to qualify for 2nd repechage round. Earlier, the Indian wrestler defeated favourite Iranian wrestler Hassan Rahimi in a superb tactical battle. Rahimi kept attacking but Amit's defence was superb and even after going down a point early in the third period, he managed to fight his way back and earn two points. Amit then lost to Vladimer Khinche- Gashvili of Georgia in the quarters. But the young wrestler got another chance in the repechage round where he has to win 2 bouts in order to win a bronze. But having failed to do so, it's now dream over for young Amit.
