Standard Chartered may lose New York license over Iran ties - NewsX

Just weeks after HSBC bank came under spotlight for allegedly laundering millions of dollars to fund global terror groups another global bank. Standard Chartered is accused of leaving the US financial system vulnerable to terrorists, drug kingpins and corrupt regimes. Spanning almost a decade, Standard Chartered allegedly schemed with the Iranian government to conduct secret transactions worth 250 billion dollars. New York State Department of Financial Services has launched an investigation against Standard Chartered Bank and asked it to explain why its license to operate in the US should not be cancelled.
