The UPA's proposed free mobile phone scheme to the 6 million households below the poverty line has reportedly been shelved for now. The scheme "Har Hath Mein Phone' apparently with the 2014 polls in mind, was scheduled to be announced by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on August 15. But disgruntled voices from within as well as the opposition based on the rising inflation and sky rocketing prices, the scheme as of now has come as a cropper.
