Patiala house court has sent the Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody

Patiala house court has sent the Aam Aadmi Chief Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody in a defamation case filed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari. The former Delhi Chief Minister will be in judicial custody till May 23 May and has been jailed after he refused to furnish bail bond of Rs.10, 000.

As per the reports, Kejriwal told the court that he would not furnish a bail bond in the case as it is of a political nature. He also that said he would give an undertaking to appear before the court at every hearing.
