Pranab Mukherjee today called up Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and thanked her for deciding to support him. Trinamool Congress' Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh told, that Mamata called up the Prime Minister and told him about the party's decision prior to her press conference where she announced it publicly. Shortly after Mamata Banerjee announced that her party would vote for Mukherjee, the UPA candidate called her up to thank her for the decision.
