In a big boost to former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, the Supreme Court has quashed the disproportionate assets case against her. The apex court ruled that the CBI had exceeded its brief and has asked the investigating agency to only probe the Taj Corridor case.Mayawati's triumphant legal team has hailed the SC ruling as a major victory for the BSP, and lashed out at the CBI for bending to pressure from the Central govt and pursuing false cases against the former U.P CM.
