Ahmed Patel (born 21 August 1949) is a senior leader of Indian National Congress party. He is the present political secretary to Congress President and Leader Sonia Gandhi.Patel is among chief leaders in decision making process of the party at national level. Popularly known as Ahmed Bhai, politicians across the spectrum consider Ahmed Patel second only to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. He is the crisis man and widely perceived in political circles to be consulted by the Congress chief herself for every political overture.
