Priyanka Gandhi denies she wanted to contest against Narendra Modi

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Monday denied reports that she wanted to contest against BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.
A report in a leading English daily had claimed this morning that Priyanka was "very keen" to fight Modi in the holy city. However, her desire was scuttled by the top party leadership.
