NRHM Scam CBI raids former U.P Health Minister's house - NewsX

The probe into the 5,700 Crore NRHM scam hots up as CBI raided the residential premises of former U.P Health Minister Anant Mishra in Lucknow and Kanpur. The raids come, a couple of days after an FIR was filed by CBI in connection with the appointment of nearly 100 Chief Medical Officers. The CBI in the FIR has stated that the appointments were made illegally in total disregard of the rules.These 100 CMOs were appointed despite the fact that each of the 72 districts in the State already had a CMO.
