Ranvir Sena's chief Brahmeshwar Mukhiya has been shot dead in Bhojpur district in Bihar early today. Mukhiya was the founder of the Ranvir Sena group, a very influential group in Bihar. Recently, Brahmeshwar Mukhiya was released on bail. Believed to have masterminded 29 massacres, including the 1996 massacre in Bathani Tola village in Bhojpur district that resulted in the death of 23 dalits and the Laxmanpur Bathe carnage in Jehanabad district in 1997 in which 61 dalits were murdered.
