As the race for Rashtrapati Bhavan gathers steam, one name seems to be dominating all the rest. NCP leader PA Sangma met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today. Patnaik has been very vocal about his support for the tribal leader, as has been Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. But Sangma's own party Chief - Sharad Pawar has completely ruled out backing Sangma as a Presidential candidate. But that doesn't seem to deter Sangma's plans - He said if required, he will contest as an independent candidate.
