NEW DELHI: From the streets to inside the party headquarters, it was a day of protests for BJP on Tuesday. Dissident voices came out of the closet in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and even the party headquarters here as the central leadership picked candidates for the Lok Sabha polls.

The rebellious mood was evident in UP — Deoria, Allahabad, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Bijnour, Jaunpur and Ghaziabad — on Sunday during which party workers didn't shy away from burning the effigies of Rajnath Singh and Narendra Modi.
