'B' for Bomb, 'C' for Chaku in UP textbooks - NewsX

Controversy continues to plague U.P CM Akhilesh Yadav whose party has been fighting the taint of Goondaism since long. Now the state's text books too seem to teach the alphabets using ammunition and weapons as icons. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister finds fresh charges of Goondaism levelled against his partymen. This time it is a glaring error in the structuring of school books that teach basics of alphabets. The Hindi alphabet text book Aalok Shabd says B is for Bomb and C is for Chaku or Knife. A veritable Freudian slip has left the parents shell-shocked.
The teachers have to deal with another error; a moral education book titled "New Way Bloom" by Gurukul Publications for class-VIII students has got the colour sequence of the national flag all wrong.
