Senior officials have claimed that abducted district collector is safe. Almost 24 hours after the abduction of 32 yr old collector Alex Menon from Sukma district, the police claim it has secured important leads in the case. An emergency meeting between the Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh and senior officials has also concluded. In the latest Chattisgarh ADG Ram Niwas has claimed that the abducted collector is safe, and efforts were already on to secure his early release.
