DRDO misses Tessy Thomas's name in Agni V list - NewsX

As the Agni V missile thundered into the sky off the coast of Orissa on Thursday, it was a moment of triumph for Tessy Thomas, the scientist who broke the glass ceiling in the male-dominated arena of rocket science when she was appointed to head the Agni IV mission. But the name of the woman who has played a crucial role in the development of the Agni series of missiles was missing in the press release issued by the Defence Research & Development Organisation. The release mentioned all other scientists present at the launch. The DRDO release acknowledged the presence of all of them except Tessy Thomas.
