As pressure builds on the Punjab Government to pardon Balwant Singh Rajoana, who's facing a death sentence for the assassination for former Chief Minister Beant Singh. Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal has called for a meeting of his party's core group to discuss what stand his govt will take on the sensitive issue. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President will also be attending the emergency meeting. The committee will deliberate the directive from Sikh high priests asking Parkash Badal and the SGPC Chief to meet the President and make efforts to save Balwant Singh Rajoana from the gallows.
