India News : Police rule out extending deadline for Asaram

India News : Jodhpur: As the deadline for self-styled godman Asaram to appear for questioning ends on Friday, the Jodhpur police have said the next step against him will be decided after his interrogation. Jodhpur DCP Ajay Lamba said, "He is a 75-year-old man, he has to be given a chance to explain."
He also said that a person his given exemption on the day of teh relative's cremation but not after that. "On humanitarian grounds, the police gives an exemption on the day of cremation. In this case, his relative's funeral was over on Thursday," Lamba said.
