India News : New Delhi: SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday defended the UP government's action to prevent the Vishwa Hindu Parishad from going ahead with its yatra in Ayodhya.

Accusing the BJP of playing vote bank politics, Mulayam told Lok Sabha that the UP government was only following the orders of the Supreme Court.
