Government names Bikram Singh as new army chief to take over on May 31st this year. Bikram Singh is current General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Kolkata-based Eastern Command. Intelligence agencies have given a clean chit to Lt Gen Bikram Singh dismissing all allegations leveled against him.
