VHP protests against Kathryn Bigelow's shoot in Chandigarh- NewsX

The Oscar winning director Kathryn BIgelow's maiden shoot in India has come to a halt after VHP personal have protested against the shooting of her film in Chandigarh based on the hunt down of Osama Bin Laden. They are protesting against the permission granted to the hurt locker director for shooting the film on Indian soil. Prior to this Kathryn was denied for the film's shoot in Somalia and Iran and now as the film has got permission in India it seems trouble is not going to evade soon. They have also accused Bigelow for transforming a part of the city into Pakistan's Abbottabad. The film's crew has been shooting in prominent markets and at the Punjab Engineering College with shop boards written in Urdu, auto-rickshaws with Lahore number plates, burkha-clad women and men in salwar-kameez, chappals and skullcaps.
