Lawyers attack Journalists in Bangalore; 2 injured-NewsX

The media and free speech is under attack in Karnataka, first it was the veiled attack when there was an attempt to shut out the media from the state assembly after the sleaze gate scandal, now lawyers have assaulted journalists in Bangalore for the reportage on agitation of the men in black in January earlier this year. The lawyers in Bangalore have attacked the media apparently over the bad blood created over their portrayal as causing inconvenience to the common man. At least 2 camerapersons have been reportedly hit on the head with a stones and outdoor broadcasting vans have been damaged. The police have had to resort to a lathicharge and teargas.
