DG Punjab alleges police links with drug cartels-NewsX

Shocking allegations coming in from Punjab. Even as the state grapples with what experts call an unprecedented drug addiction epidemic, Director General Prisons of Punjab, Shashi Kant has come forward alleging a nexus between the state police and drug cartels. Kant has alleged that police are hand in glove with the drug mafia, receiving kickbacks in return for their patronage.
