India News: Any political signifance behind Shivraj Chauhan's praise of Modi?

Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister of the state and BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan has compared fellow partyman Narendra Modi with Sardar Patel.
"The stature and work of Shri Narendra Modi can only be compared with Sardar Patel," Mr Chouhan tweeted on Saturday.
His remarks came a day after raza Murad took a dig at Narendra Modi in front of him.
Questions arise that why did Shivraj Chauhan kept silent on Modi before. And why is Shivraj Chauhan suddenly going out to praise Narendra Modi with all gunz blazing. Is there any political signifacne or benefit behind this comment?
