Just days before the crucial Supreme Court hearing in Army chief Gen V. K Singh's age row, AK Antony has come out today to suggest there was no civilian-military standoff. The Defense Minister has called the controversy the Army's creation, which did not have its own house in order. In the order, sent out on Friday, the Defence Ministry asking the army to correct its records, recognizing Gen Singh's date of birth as 10th May, 1950. V K Singh alleges he was never given a fair redressal by the govt over the controversy. But, the govt maintains in his letter that Army Chief was given a fair hearing.
