India News: As Chandigarh continues to be the capital of Haryana and Punjab, Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has taken a strong exception to it and said that Punjab should vacate the city if it wanted to set up a new city in the name of New Chandigarh.
The proposed New Chandigarh city will cover 15,000 acres of land falling in 32 villages on the periphery of Chandigarh. A notification with the changed name of "New Chandigarh master plan" is slated to be issued soon by Punjab.
