NewsX's campaign: Save Indian Cricket; BCCI neglecting junior cricket

NewsX focuses on ways to Save Indian Cricket. In this sections of campaign we look at a very important, but rather neglected aspect - junior cricket. Years of neglect towards the under-22, under-19 and under-16 levels have left the country with a thin line of top-class players. Once the hotbed for producing stars such as Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar, the grassroots of Indian cricket have been completely eroded by the BCCI. Junior cricketers are receiving little help and guidance from the board, which is supposed to be responsible for them.
