A whopping 3.36 lakh students have been found not to exist except on paper, and they are deriving benefits of various welfare schemes. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar rebuked the parents for availing benefits of various education schemes by enrolling their children in multiple schools and said that one should not inculcate wrong values among the younger generation merely for greed. Stating that such irregularities in the education schemes would not be tolerated, Kumar said that the state government was considering allotting an identification number for school leaving certificate of each student.
