India News: As heavy rains continue to lash Mumbai, BMC on Wednesday sent an alert to people in Mumbai advising them to not venture out of their homes unless completely necessary.

The Meteorological Department has predicted more rainfall in the next 24 hours as the city of Mumbai has been receiving heavy rain since 1 am on Tuesday morning with very little respite.
High tide is also expected on Wednesday afternoon as many parts of the city are water-logged.
