A red alert cyclone warning has been issued for North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh as cyclone 'Thane' centered over Bay of Bengal is gaining menacing strength. Meteorological department monitoring the cyclone said that the cyclone will cross North Tamil Nadu coast between Nagapattinam and Chennai early Friday morning.
