The CBI will remain autonomous, with prosecution powers intact. While the process of selection of Director has been tweaked, a separate bill for centralized directorate of public prosecutions will be introduced. While group C employees will be under the ambit of CVC, the lokpal may be impeached only after 100 MPs move in support of it.
