57 dead due to spurious liquor consuption in West Bengal

At least fifty-seven people died after consuming spurious liquor in a West Bengal village on Wednesday, police said. Over a 100 others were admitted to hospitals in Kolkata and Diamond Harbour. The death toll, according to authorities, may rise as some of those admitted to hospital are in critical condition. The incident took place in Sangrampur village - 70 kms from Kolkata.
