US apologizes to India for Kalam's frisking

Outrage prevails over the frisking of Former President A P J Abdul Kalam for a second time by U.S airport authorities, US has apologized to the Indian government about the episode. Kalam was subjected to frisking at JFK airport in New York on September 29. The frisking took place despite Kalam being seated on board the Air India flight before departure. Kalam's shoes and coat were taken away from him and a swab analysis done for traces of explosives before returning them. Kalam was previously frisked two years ago at Delhi airport by a US-based airline.
