India News: In view of the Uttarakhand catastrophe that left a trail of death and devastation in the hill State, BJP on Saturday postponed its proposed nation-wide 'Jail Bharo Andolan' against the UPA Government scheduled for June 17 to June 30.
BJP president Rajnath Singh who personally made a survey of the flood-affected area of Uttarakhand urged Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to declare the tragedy as a national calamity.
The BJP president directed party workers to stop preparations for 'Jail Bharo Aandolan' and engage themselves to collect relief material and ensure that it reaches the affected people in Uttarakhand.
