1984 riots case: CBI to challenge Sajjan Kumar's acquittal

India News: The Central Bureau of Investigation has sound grounds to appeal in the Delhi High Court against the acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, said a senior officer here on Tuesday.

While five of the accused were convicted in the case, Mr. Kumar was acquitted by the Sessions Court of all charges in the murder of five Sikhs in the Raj Nagar area of Delhi Cantonment in 1984.
