Uddhav Thackeray: Nitish opposing Modi to woo Muslim votes
  • 5 years ago
India News: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray launched a scathing attack on JD(U) leader and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar by saying that he is opposing Narendra Modi as PM because of Muslim votes. Uddhav Thackeray made a mockery of Nitish Kumar's selective secularism as a product of ambition, political calculation and circumstance.
The ruptures in NDA over the issue surfaced after JDU on Sunday virtually vetoed Modi's much speculated projection as BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee demanding a "secular" candidate for it.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray in his party mouthpiece,"Saamna", said "How is it possible that Nitish is with BJP but not with Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi ."Further saying " Narendra Modi is within Bharatiya Janta party ".Nitish Kumar's selective secularism is a product of ambition, political calculation and circumstance. It is going to do nothing to strengthen Indian secularism. It will, if anything, make a bigger mockery of it.
