Delhi Rape: Protests in Jammu

India News: Demonstrations and candle light vigils were held here in protest against the rape of a five-year-old girl, with the protestors demanding death penalty to the accused and wishing speedy recovery of the victim.
Students of Heritage School in Sainik Colony area of the city held a candle light assembly as a mark of protest against the rape of minor girl by her 22-year-old neighbour.
They demanded severe punishment, including death penalty to the accused as they blamed the police for failure to take action in this case.
Led by their leader H R Sharma, about 50 activists of Bharatiya Chetna Party held a separate protest demonstration against the UPA government and demanded resignation of Delhi Police Commissioner.
The party activists also demanded capital punishment to the accused.
