Shockingly huge haul of US Treasury Bonds have been recovered from a businessman in a small town of Tamil Nadu. The I-T officials seized US govt bonds worth Rs 28,000 crore or five billion dollars from S. Us govt. bondsRamalingam, a Tamil Nadu agricultural trader. The man is also a commodities broker and a tax consultant.
The Income Tax department has decided to approach American authorities to get validated the authenticity of these securities.
