Maple syrup is the most iconic of Canadian products. Which makes perfect sense, since we account for 80% of the world’s total production. Ricardo meets Luc and René Pépin, maple growers from Saint-Robert-Bellarmin, Quebec, in the heart of a region where more maple trees are tapped than anywhere else in the world. Their state-of-the-art facilities have helped them become one of the largest producers of maple syrup in the country.
