Michael Cohen’s Testimony Expected to Reveal Presidential Scandal Michael Cohen is set to testify in front of the
House Oversight Committee on February 27, and provide a slew of documents and
reimbursement checks that will prove
fraudulent actions committed by the president. Michael Cohen is the former personal lawyer
and fixer of President Donald Trump. Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison
for eight felony counts of tax evasion,
campaign finance violations and bank fraud. According to a draft of his opening statement,
Cohen will reveal that Trump knew in advance
that WikiLeaks planned to release hacked
Democratic emails from the 2016 election. He also will confirm the president’s
efforts to build a Trump Tower in
Moscow during his campaign. Trump has heavily denied
involvement in both scandals. Committee chair Elijah Cummings
believes Cohen’s testimony will provide
vital information against the president. Elijah Cummings, via NBC
