at 2019 Oscars 'Roma' also won awards for
best cinematography and
best foreign language film. with Cuarón
accepting all three. The filmmaker previously won best director in 2014 for the film Gravity. Set in Mexico City during the 1970s,
Roma tells the story of an indigenous
domestic worker named Cleo. Cuarón made history
at the 91st Academy Awards for winning both as the cinematographer and
director of the same film.
