Oscar-nominated flick, 'Fences.' 'Journal' is based on a memoir by Pulitzer-winning writer, Dana Canedy. It details her romantic relationship with
U.S. Army Sergeant Charles Monroe King. While stationed overseas during the
Iraq war, King kept a journal for the
couple's infant son, Jordan. Jordan was less than a year old when King died in combat in 2006. 'Journal' also describes Canedy's search for the truth after receiving cloudy details concerning King's death. The film hasn't been by given a release date yet by producer Sony.
