The Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team's Thierry Neuville / Nicolas Gilsoul and Andreas Mikkelsen / Anders Jæger-Amland secured third and fourth place, with newcomers Sébastien Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena ending their Sweden comeback in seventh place in the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC ,

The only pure snow rally in the World Cup calendar began with an exclamation mark for Hyundai: At the show test on Thursday evening Thierry Neuville set the fastest time in the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. But Friday was anything but planned for the vice-world champion: On the fifth test, the Belgian hit a snow wall, thereby damaging the front of the vehicle. This cost precious seconds not only on this section but also on the next three exams. Neuville finished the first leg in seventh place. Sébastien Loeb positioned himself in front of a place. The Frenchman, who started again in Sweden for the first time since 2013, first had to find his rhythm. At the second pass of the exams he will get two top 3 times. Best pilot of Hyundai Motorsport was Andreas Mikkelsen on Friday. The Norwegian enjoyed that six of the seven tests were held in his home country. Fueled by many fans, he struggled forward from seventh to third place.
