Trump Reportedly Asked Japan for
Nobel Peace Prize Nomination Last week, President Trump said
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe
nominated him for the honor. He also claimed Abe gave him a copy
of the 5-page nomination letter that
was sent to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. President Donald Trump, via NBC News According to 'Asahi Shimbun,' one of Japan's
largest newspapers, the U.S. government "informally"
asked for the nomination last year. When asked to comment on the report
at a parliament meeting on Monday,
Abe only said, "I'm not saying it's not true." Yoshihide Suga, Chief Cabinet Secretary, also declined to comment. Yoshihide Suga,

pressure" concerning North Korea and once called him,
