Queen to Perform at the Oscars Queen is the latest act to be added to the list of Oscars performers. Adam Lambert of 'American Idol' fame
handles vocals for the band in place of
the late Freddie Mercury. Queen has been performing with Lambert since 2011. Their biopic, 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' has been
nominated for five awards including best picture, sound editing, sound mixing and film editing. Rami Malek has been nominated for best actor for his portrayal of Mercury. Other performers include Jennifer Hudson, Gillian Welch with David Rawlings and Bradley Cooper with Lady Gaga,
who have all been nominated for
best original song. The 2019 Academy Awards will air this Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
