In Stunning Twitter Attack, Trump Claims McCabe, Rosenstein Were Planning 'Illegal And Treasonous' Act Against President People 'Really Like'

President Trump again slammed Andrew McCabe on Twitter.

President Trump launched a scathing Twitter attack against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who made damning statements about the president in Sunday's "60 Minutes" interview.
"Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe," Trump tweeted Monday. "He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged."
"He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught," Trump continued. "There is a lot of explaining to do to the millions of people who had just elected a president who they really like and who has done a great job for them with the Military, Vets, Economy and so much more. This was the illegal and treasonous 'insurance policy' in full action!"
CBS News notes that after the firing of FBI Director James Comey in May of 2017, McCabe claims in the "60 Minutes" interview that "law enforcement officials discussed whether to secretly record a conversation with the president and whether Mr. Trump could be removed from office through invoking the 25th Amendment."
